This year, her work is featured in the Bombay Times - The Times of India (TOI) and in Munich Jewellery Week (MJW) Paper, curated by Current Obsession Magazine allowing her to connect with the global jewellery community and share her creative vision.

Her innovative approach to jewellery design has been highlighted in interviews, such as her feature with New Designers & Artit Magazine. Last year, she reached a significant milestone, by being honored with the 'One For The Future' award by NYC Jewelry Week, recognizing her as an emerging talent in the jewellery industry.

Sugandh Makwana is proud to be recognised as an honoree for One for the Future, an annual award by NYC Jewelry Week celebrating emerging talent in the jewellery industry.


Being named an honoree in 2024 was a turning point in her career. This recognition​ served as a validation of her dedication to her craft and the unique perspective she brings by bridging Indian heritage with contemporary design.

It highlighted her as a rising star whose work is shaping the future of jewellery. More than an accolade, One for the Future was an encouragement for Sugandh to continue pushing creative boundaries; it acknowledged that her voice, which challenges norms and embraces cultural identity, is vital to the evolving narrative of the jewellery world.

London Craft Week, 2025

In May 2025, Sugandh participated in London Craft Week as an exhibiting artist in the thematic show “Echoes of Presence.”

Echoes of Presence explores how materials become vessels of personal histories, embodying the traces of those who came before us and the emotions we leave behind.

Cluster Contemporary Jewellery Fair, 2024

Exhibited at Cluster Jewellery Fair 2024, in December 2024; a showcase known for cutting-edge and conceptual jewellery. The fair’s theme, “Metamorphosis,” proved an ideal canvas for Sugandh’s artistry. Her designs for this exhibition embodied transformation – traditional forms evolving into contemporary expressions.

New Designers, 2024

Proud to have exhibited at New Designers in June 2024, London’s annual showcase of the UK’s most innovative emerging art and design talent. London’s premier annual showcase of emerging design talent. Selected for the prestigious ND Selects program​, she presented her collection alongside the nation’s top new creatives.

Holy Art Gallery, 2024

She also had the privilege exhibiting her work at the Holy Art Gallery in March. As part of a collective of renowned galleries worldwide, Holy Art Gallery curates exceptional exhibitions across the UK, Europe, and the USA, providing artists with invaluable opportunities to showcase their creations on a global stage.

NYC Jewelry Week, 2024

Featured on the Discover page of NYC Jewelry Week, a dedicated platform showcasing emerging jewellery artists from around the world. This curated space highlights fresh perspectives to the jewellery industry, celebrating their creativity, craftsmanship, and unique storytelling.


It not only recognised her as an emerging visionary in the field, but also amplified her voice in the global jewellery conversation – affirming that the emotional resonance of her work transcends borders.

Woolff Gallery, 2023

Sugandh’s creations featured in the Graduate Art Show, at London’s Woolff Gallery​. As a recent graduate of Central Saint Martins, she stood at the threshold of the professional art world, and this exhibition marked her transition from student to emerging artist.

Her display mingled seamlessly with contemporary artworks, yet stood out for its deeply personal narrative quality. In a gallery known for bridging emerging talent with industry, Sugandh’s work – rich with craftsmanship and cultural storytelling – resonated with audiences and curators alike.

South Asian Heritage Month, 2023

Sugandh’s journey began by celebrating her roots at South Asian Heritage Month 2023. In this community-centered exhibit, her pieces paid homage to ancestral craft and storytelling, affirming that personal heritage is the cornerstone of her creativity.

Sugandh’s visionary work caught the attention of the Bombay Times, a leading Indian lifestyle and culture publication, which featured her story in April, 2025. Munich Jewellery Week

In March 2025, Sugandh’s work was included in the Munich Jewellery Week (MJW) Paper, curated by the renowned contemporary jewellery publication Current Obsession Magazine . This annual print (and online) journal is a curated snapshot of avant-garde jewellery showcased during Munich Jewellery Week, one of the world’s most respected jewellery art events.


Being part of this publication was an honor for Sugandh; it meant her work stood alongside that of internationally acclaimed art-jewellers, further validating her unique artistic voice. As part of International Women’s Day 2024 celebrations (themed Inspire Inclusion), Sugandh was invited to share her story in an interview titled “Women Shaping the Design Landscape.” This special feature highlighted female designers who use their work to promote inclusivity and cultural dialogue.
